Ex-Swiggy and Zomato Leaders Raise $1.5 Million for an AI Career Agent
Bengaluru's Profound, founded by former Swiggy and Zomato leaders, raised $1.5 million in seed funding to build an AI-first professional networking and hiring platform.
Bengaluru-based Profound has launched with $1.5 million in seed funding. It was founded by Anuj Rathi and Prashant Parashar, former product and technology leaders with experience across Swiggy, Zomato, Cleartrip, Flipkart, Ola and Walmart Labs.
The round drew a notably well-connected investor list: Swiggy CEO Sriharsha Majety, Swiggy co-founder Nandan Reddy, former Zomato co-founder Pankaj Chaddah, Razorpay CEO Harshil Mathur, WhatsApp Global Head Kunal Shah, and OfBusiness co-founder Bhuvan Gupta, alongside venture firms Stellaris Venture Partners and 3one4 Capital.
Profound is building an AI-first platform where every professional gets a personalised AI representative — one that's meant to understand their career profile and proactively surface opportunities, positioned for professional networking and hiring. The capital will go toward expanding engineering and product teams, improving the platform's AI capabilities, and developing its matching and introductions engine.
