Bajaj Finance Says It Will Run 800+ AI Agents Next Fiscal Year
Bajaj Finance is describing FinAI as live operating infrastructure, not a roadmap item — 800+ autonomous agents planned next fiscal, and AI already reading 20 million customer calls a quarter.

Bajaj Finance is describing a shift from AI as a set of tools to AI as infrastructure. On its Q3 FY26 earnings call, vice chairman and managing director Rajeev Jain said the company expects "800+ autonomous agents across sales, operations, HR, IT, risk and DMS in the next fiscal" — DMS being the Dealer Management System that issues instant loans at checkout in partner stores.
The company is calling this "FinAI," and the framing has changed over the year: earlier FY26 quarters described it as a transformation roadmap; this quarter, Jain described it as infrastructure already executing tasks and influencing decisions.
The clearest example: AI is transcribing customer calls at scale. "AI listened to 20 million calls, converted voice to text, and gave us data," Jain said. Text-to-data conversion ran across 520,000 customers and generated 100,000 new offers — sales opportunities the company says it previously had no visibility into. It expects to process 100 million calls next year.
That builds on a Q2 FY26 disclosure that 442 AI voice bots contributed ₹1,980 crore in personal loan disbursements, 18% of everything originated through the call centre. The direction is consistent: voice data is becoming an offer-generation layer, not just a sales channel. Bajaj is also replacing outbound SMS with conversational AI — "Rather than sending dumb SMSs for 11 products now, we have an AI text BOT," Jain said.
